Rutgers outgained Michigan versus a common opponent, Maryland. Their yards per play have dropped noticeably versus the two pedestrian teams they’ve played later in the season (also versus PSU and OSU). Tonight they are struggling mightily versus a decent but not great Iowa defense.

Rushing 28 for 51? Iowa isn’t the 85 Bears. Pass game mediocre.

Maybe it’s a rope a dope. The defense looks great, but it’s Iowa.

@GopherVotary yep. Second time in three years that the SEC rigs their champ game to get Bama in the playoff by beating #1 Georgia.

Much riskier this time with Bama at #8 going into the game as opposed to #3 in 2021, but still going to get it done.

Not arguing, just conversing, but you see this call quite a bit. The impact on the QB before the hand starts driving forward frees the ball from his control. Still some incidental push on the ball, but…..fumble. Play on…

The only way that is correct is if the defender is behind the QB and swats the ball forward out of QBs hand before his arm is moving forward. This defender was coming AT the QB and swiping INTO his hand. The only way for the ball to end up going forward (past the LOS) is if the QBs arm was starting to go forward.

Well, have to hand it to Michigan, they Iowa’d the Hawkeyes with special teams and defense.

The playoff will be interesting.

His hand was starting forward before the ball was forced loose. It’s clear on slo-mo replay as Blandino saw it too.

Very clear. Bad call and bad call on clear recovery when everyone stopped and ball bounces into dude’s hand randomly and he didn’t even think he recovered a “fumble” .

They have clearly dropped off the last quarter of the season, on offense at least. Undeniable fact.

So yes, it is possibly correlated to the loss of their sign stealing operation. Maybe the loss of their starting center is too much to overcome.

Honestly, If Florida State gets left out and wins their bowl game, they should get a split national title and I think they'd be totally fair in claiming one. If you can go undefeated in a Power 5 conference and miss the playoff, something is seriously wrong.

Can’t wait for espn to tell us why it should be Bama all week despite losing head to head against Texas and FSU being undefeated and rolling LSU by more than Bama in the only like vs like game they have. So it was disappointing to never see the Gophers win the West and be in the title game. With that said, there was something cathartic seeing our rivals get knocked around and beaten in the B1G championship. Here are some favorites

The weird thing is so many acting like Alabama is playing so well. They had to convert a 4th and 31 to beat a bad Auburn team just last week.
