Conference Championship Game Thread

Curious on tesatore's? comment about 'everyone thinks that they need to eliminate the conference winners getting the top seeds'.

I need to think about it more but I like rewarding winning a conference. Keep the value of being a conference champion. If you can't win your conference, why should you get a bye? I do get the counter arguments though.
He’s SEC all the way. They just need to reseed after each round like the NFL. You have to reward conference champions.

Terrible branding for this conference. Empty cavernous stadium, teams from hundreds of miles away. No bands. No atmosphere.

I did see a Vikings jersey in the stands. In Dallas, in a game with Az St and Iowa St.

Is this one of those where the Iowa St kids were out drinking a couple nights ago and they had to send their JV to play instead?

Arizona State has that look of a team peaking at the right time. Probably not enough horses to be there at the end but I wouldn't want to draw them Rd1

I predict this is their peak. They will get crushed by 20+ in round 1. My guess.

Interesting strategy by espn to talk bad about the big 12 during the big 12 championship game when they own the conferences TV rights

Thought the name Leavitt lisn't particularly common and so I checked and found out that the ASU QB Sam Leavitt is the younger brother of former NFL special teams player Dallin Leavitt.

Happy that ASU won. Maybe because I'm really old and I remember that ASU was a powerhouse program under crazy man Frank Kush in the 1960s and 1970s.
