After the worst loss in history Brew gets a kid to say yes??

Point being

If he can't coach them up who cares?

Assuming this is Cameron Brown, not surprising, since he saw the receivers get a lotta looks today. He don't play defense.

great, i'm happy for the kid and the program.

i realize that the few recruit lovers care more about adding a few more 'stars' tonight than they do the loss today so i'm happy for those fans too.

but how about we talk about why big time recruit brandon green hasn't done much, or mr. juco aa hayo is no where to be seen, just like david pittman and keanon cooper all of the sudden looks lost and on and on.

but awesome, we got another recruit today! it's a great day to be a gopher!

I think the kid's only other offer at this point is from I-AA Western Kentucky. Not exactly beating out Michigan and Oklahoma for a kid.

Cameron Brown the unrated WR with offers from Minneosta and Western Kentucky?

Wasn't pointing out that Brew is a super hero, more the fact what do these kids see?

really? they see an offer from a bt school and an offer from western kentucky. they see no other offers than those two. and this confuses you?

You have more of a chance to develop and be a winner with the other option...now that confuses me

It probably doesn't matter. By the end of November a new coach will re-evaluate all the offers made thusfar.

Yeah, problem is most schools usually lose good recruits and salvage with fill-ins... this class is already full of full-ins, are we going to be taking recruits from NDSU SDU after this? Or won't they come? is there anyone out there? anyone?

Brew's list of recruits isn't real impressive lately. He was brought in to get some 4 star types not guys considering the following:

Minnesota Golden Gophers, Western Kentucky Hilltoppers, Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks, UTEP Miners, Louisiana Tech Bulldogs

I don't know how many of these guys will stick around, but recruiting seems to be going fairly well for Minnesota, historically speaking. But never let the facts get in the way of a good rant.

pretty sure were high just because we are near the top in total commits. Pretty sure rivals gives anyone a 3 star who signs with a D1 team. Pretty sure if Warren signs with the gophers he would get 3 stars as well.

Use the link provided and click on "average stars" The Gophers 2.5 puts them in a tie for 9th in the conference with Purdue.

Edit: not exactly fair because the Gophers have 2 kids who haven't been rated yet, so they are assigned zero stars. If both get the minimum 2 stars, the Gophers average will go up a little bit.

Brew can't coach or develop players. Therefore in order to compete for a Big Ten title, we need 5-star recruits who already know what they're doing.

Brew is losing it, just look at the offer lists of the guys he has on board. Couple good ones, yes. Most we are beating out low level MAC type teams for. Pathetic, this class will be in shambles after he gets canned anyways, we'll get Tommy Olson at least.

The new AD (still waiting on this one) needs to be interviewing HC prospects so he can line up his staff now and execute when the the final second ticks off on the Iowa game. There will be no bowl game to interfere with getting the new staff in.

This is what an administration with people at the top who know what they are doing would do.

However, I fully expect this firing to be a "gut reaction" type firing that is thought of and then done within a short time of each other. I expect our adm. to be running around like a chicken with its head cut off trying to decide whom and when to bring someone in. I'm sure the decision will get delayed so as to ruin any hopes of the new guy salvaging this recruiting class. If we do talk to anyone before the actual firing I expect this information to get leaked and cause further damage to the program in the short term.

Anyone else have any expectations ;)
