per the Coloradoan:

On any given Saturday, Kill’s health can shift all attention away from what the Gophers do on the field to a discussion about if he should be coaching at all. He suffered game-day seizures twice in 2011, again in 2012 and another in 2013. Critics argue that continuing to coach is detrimental to his health. I say he’s a shining example of someone not letting a disability hinder him from living his life to the fullest.

“He’s probably a great example of how to handle adversity to his team and to keep going and being there for his family,” Colorado State University coach Mike Bobo said. “There’s no doubt in why you can see how hard (Minnesota) plays for him.”

Kill, 54, has more career victories to his name (148) than any coach in the Big Ten. He’s turned around programs at Southern Illinois and Northern Illinois and is evolving Minnesota into a championship contender in arguably the toughest conference in college football. And he’s done it all in the face of crippling disease.
