That will be two direct hits on the presentlly named Big 12 North Division. Does anyone else notice how the PAC TEN appears to be making great efforts to beat the BIG TEN to the storyline each step of the way? Oh well, I believe Texas and Notre Dame are on the clock.
ND has blown, I believe the opportunity to be the 12th BIG TEN University but seems to desire keeping the number of revenue sharers at a minimum. So, I think we would have to go to at least 14 now as the Big Ten has too much class to back out on Nebraska and staying at 13 is nonsensical. If ND continues to sit on their hands, the next waive will basically back them to the wall to take or leave a final spot in a conference of 16. However, the BIG TEN did all of their homework and already know the likely revenue surges each step along the expansion road. Man it pays to be among a group of very smart people and institutions.
Although the PAC TEN seems to be flying by the seat of their pants, they do know opportunity when it slaps them in the face and I respect their willingness to act quickly under the circumstances. They did not however prepare for this expansion train as extensively as the BIG TEN did. Probably bought their research though.
