So apparently there are people that keep track of the Lineal Championship that goes back to the first college game in 1869. It’s like boxing where a team becomes champion when they defeat the current champion. Rutgers held it for 1 week back in 1869, fast forward to now and BYU just took the title last night from Baylor.
Minnesota held the lineal championship back in 1981 for 1 week.
