Andy Greder of the Pioneer Press tweeted out an update.

Update: #Gophers transfer guard Tyler Cochran has been doing individual workouts and rehab as he works back from pre-season foot surgery, Coach Ben Johnson said Thursday.

Look-ahead: Johnson did not have a timeline for Cochran's debut in games, but tangible progress has been made.

(hey - this may account to re-arranging the deck chairs on The Titanic - but I'm still interested in seeing what Cochran has to offer.)

I'm still hoping that this team can find a groove. Whenever he comes back, it could happen. I WANT this team to succeed. I want our team to show its depth. Mitchell is still getting back to 100%, Asuma is improving and Cochran seems to be a real ball hawk and a nose for the ball, which is something we really need.
Now, WILL we? I wouldn't bet the farm on it..

I admire your enthusiasm, but even with Cochran we will still be woefully unathletic and poorly coached. Even at perfect health for every player, we will be the underdog in each Big10 game this season.
