I'll say the 1st quarter against Illinois. He'll just barely be under after the Purdue game.

Best guess is vs Illinois. I'll say he goes for 120 this week. Purdue, after a shaky start, hasn't been awful at defending the run. Cobb will get his but his ypc won't be enormous, which keeps him from getting to it this week.

P5 competition vs Purdue: 157 carries, 673 yards (4.3 ypc)

Illinois, however, has been dreadful at defending the run so far in B1G play. It's not a stretch to say that Cobb could go north of 200 in that one.

P5 competition vs Illinois: 220 carries, 1,453 yards (6.6 ypc)

Near the end of the third quarter against Purdue. He's going to house a long one early.

3rd quarter against Illinois.

And also needs to average 97 yards per game to get to 1,500.

Needs 98 in a few games. 97 per game from here on out (including bowl) would get him 1,498.

My OCD apologizes.

We can't afford to lose any olinemen. We have been very unlucky over the last 12 months with career and season ending injuries of our top interior linemen. It has hurt our success more than some seem to understand.

We lose another guard or center and it is going to be very difficult to compete in November, much less win one of those final four games.

I think that there's a 30-35% chance he get's it against Purdue, but I can foresee him being rested later in the Purdue game, at 140-150 yards.

I think you have a 2% chance of being right.

2% chance of that happening.

I say there is 2% chance that afurry91 won't say "This will never get old." Having posted this though the odds are that afurry91 is trying to figure out how to beat the odds.

Afurry is odd, so he beats himself. 2% chance he enjoys it. :p

He just needs 645 yards to break Maroney's single season record of 1,464. Just average a little over 92 yards a game to get that.

I've not heard, do we have a prognosis on Bush?

I say 1st half of Illinois. I would like to see him do it against Purdue, but I think he'll end with with 130-150 yards for the Purdue game.

Cobb now over 1000 yds for season. Really tough running yet again today
