Boo. I don't want Leidner to start if he's not going to be a legitimate running threat, and I really doubt he will be one.

Unless his legs are 95% healthy I wouldn't rush him out there. Tough call.

I don't want him to start unless he's a 100%.

I may not agree with the call, but I trust the staff.

If Mitch protects the ball, and doesn't take 3+ of those gawd-awful deer in the headlights sacks, I think he'll be just fine.

Go Mitch!!!

He wouldn't be Mitch if he didn't take 3+ awful sacks. He'd be competent.

I would add make the correct reads on run option /passing routes.

Just don't turn it over

Uh, oh. With turf toe and a bum knee, hard to see Leidner at normal speed. Streveler had momentum, which he would carry into the first quarter of this game. By the time Leidner is pulled, the game could be lost already in the first half. Hope that scenario doesn't unfold, but it's easy to imagine, especially given Leidner's fumbleitis.

Regardless of how the Gophers do on offense, I think this game hinges on Michigan giving the Gophers a few freebies here and there. If Michigan doesn't turn it over a few times, I don't think there's any chance the Gophers are winning this game.

Cripes, if I remember right, last year's game was Gardner's first game in like 20+ games that he DIDN'T turn the ball over. Great timing for him to protect the ball for a change.

I don't want him to start unless he's at 200% ;)

Interesting to look at this thread now.
