I hope its Malzahn. None of the HCs we could get that fit that criteria impress me that much (unless I'm missing someone).
 



UGH one thing I missed on the first read through - will tell the team in the AM. Meaning we have to wait until tomorrow.

The only ones I want are Petersen and Schiano but I doubt either of them are the guy. I'd REALLY vomit all over if it was either Holtz/Jones

Runs FBT blog. He has about as much credibility as anyone else in the local media. (That's meant as a compliment in this case.)

It actually says "Just got word that the next #Gophers coach is in fact coaching in the last 2 days and will inform his team in the AM." No past tense.

True. Thanks for clarifying. Still I wouldn't take it so literal as to eliminate Mike Stoops for example.

ONe name that has had absolutely no steam behind it....and I'm not saying I necessarily like it, but what about Pat Hill @ Fresno St.
 


I'm starting to sound like a broken record, but I'm sticking with my Petersen call. There is nowhere left for him to go at Boise. This year was his chance. If he's going to move up, he needs to strike while the iron is hot.

Isn't he quite old? He looks about 70. Anyway, if they were going to hire him, I think it would have been last time. He can coach. But I would think age is a major issue.
 

Of those coaching this weekend, Edsall would be likely. Hard to see most of them coming here. Maybe the rumors are just rumors and we'll all be surprised (and happy).

I'd love you to be right. But UVa took the $3 million they offered Tubby and offered it to him. They got nowhere. I can't imagine it changed that much in a year. You never know, I guess.
