With the Class of 2013 recruiting class in the record books and Class of 2014 off and running with junior days and spring practice events, I thought I would post a first look at the Class of 2015. Eastview RB Will Rains (5'11 210), Blooming Prairie QB Johnny Rumza (6'6 185), and DeLaSalle OL Drayton Carlberg (6'7 265) had solid seasons. Lakeville South LB Josh Corcoran (6'3 225) has good size and speed. Some solid DBs in the group. Little light on WRs based on sophomore season. If there are others out with D1 potential, please feel free to let me know at [email protected] vames

vames - Thanks for all your hard work. It is great that you are our eyes and ears for who is who in Minnesota High School football. I voted for DL65 as my favorite poster on the GopherHole but you are deserving of at least an honorable mention. Sorry for the oversight.

Thanks!

I definitely appreciate your posts as well Vames. Thank you! Please continue to inform us all!

Ryan Burns tweeted that Iowa recently gave Cornell his first offer.

We also just offered Cornell.

I've never seen him play....but he had 14 sacks for Cretin as a sophomore? WOW!

EDIT: His offer is self-reported, and hasn't been confirmed by a member of the CDH staff.

Sweet. Bob, do you know anything about this guy?

He's really good, he'll be a guy recruited like Onwualu. I'm not sure if he'll quite be at the caliber of Floyd or Henderson, but he'll be right there. He's athletic, already has the size (at 15/16), he's productive, he'll be really good.

The latest is that Minnesota has offered Cornell as of today as well. Interesting the timing of Minnesota's offer......

Thanks again Vames!

Also, the Eastview QB Seth Green, is he 2015? He's a definite FCS already. Might be recruited as an athlete though.

2016, he was only a freshman. He does look talented though. Not Cornell talented, but could potentially be a FCS caliber qb.

He's a black quarterback, so he MUST be a scrambler with the potential to play multiple positions. Please don't tell me that's how your thought process went. He's certainly a pocket-passer.

Its unbelievable how big these kids are at 15-16 years old.

Carlberg 6'5" at best. Seen him several times and listed as such on basketball roster. Jeff Jones listed at 5'8" for Washburn basketball roster

I will pass your note on to the football coaches to fix their rosters for next season......

Yeah, Seth Green is a natural QB. I was really impressed with him. He has a legit arm and didn't look at all lost playing QB in a tough conference as a freshman. That's insane. There is a huge difference between a FR and SO (I think the biggest jump in HS sports) because it's the first time these athletes play against near grown men.

He's a fairly athletic QB, but he is a QB first and foremost.

Cornell is a special kid but I'd probably put Seth Green into that conversation. It's a little difficult for a QB because the 25th best QB in the country won't be as high of a recruit as the 25th best DE (usually), so the ranking systems and the offer sheets will probably prefer Cornell.

Cornell helps everyone, there isn't a team in the country that couldn't use an athletic DE who has good size. He's the next Onwualu, Floyd type who will have a really impressive offer sheet.

But Seth Green is a pretty special football player. He has an eye popping arm, he already has size, his future could be just as bright as Cornell. A lot of it will depend upon next year when I imagine the coaches won't be protecting Green from his inexperience.
