Tom Izzo demonstrates a touch of class by starting Braham, MN native Isiah Dahlmen against his younger brother Noah, who plays for Wofford!

Who Cares?

As we all have discovered recently, many GopherHolers think that playing with class is an overrated concept. They believe that college sports should only be about winning any way you can, with whomever you can. If you have to use a player who has no interest in obtaining a college education, by all means do it. If you have to use a player who thinks that rules and laws are only for other people, so be it. Izzo gets zero credit in GopherHole.

Ummm...completely disagree. This is a special moment for the whole Dahlmen family, this is the first time they've been in East Lansing for a game. Izzo did something similar last year in the Big Ten opener at The Barn when he got Isiah into the game in the 1st half in his home state. Izzo gets it.

Dahlman

Congratulations to Noah Dahlman for sure, who has turned himself into a hell of a college basketball player.

He's played a helluva game tonight, really battled good in the post. Wofford just doesn't have the firepower to compete, but I like their team.

Izzo is as good of person as he is a coach

Nice move by Izzo, I spend some time in Michigan for work and have come to find that I like MSU fans more than any other opposing fanbase in the Big Ten. The people I talk with (even Michigan fans) pretty much all agree that Izzo is a class act. High class, high integrity. Glad we have him on our conference with Tubby!

Nonconference Scheduling = family time

Classy move by Izzo to schedule a game for the benefit of one of his players who is pretty far down on the roster against his brother's mid-major team. I. Dahlmann also got the start and some decent playing time. First time the Dahlmann parents have seen a game at MSU... gotta love Tom Izzo.

Wofford put up a pretty good game against MSU and if the Gophers can get back on the strong side of their game, MSU looks very beatable this season.

Predict a 1-1 split with MSU for the Gophers this season.

Great move by Izzo.
Hmm...there's something familiar 'bout upnorth's post...

WRONG!!! Izzo DOES get credit in Gopherhole and you ARE a tool. Class move by Izzo.......jerkoff move by UpnorthGo4 for trying to lump the rest of us in with his classless a$$!

So just a couple of GopherHolers = many? Just because a few make comments about playing with class being overrated, doesn't mean that's what most think.

One of the many reasons I love Izzo. Thanks for posting!

Anyone who has seen a game live, KNOWS that Isso is not a class act to the reffs, he complains more then any big ten coach.

I don't know who complains the most, but they all do it. A lot. And Bo Ryan looks the weirdest when he does it. Reminds me of a ferret when he makes that scowl.

(note - I love what Ryan has done at Wisconsin and have a lot of respect for his program - he just looks odd when he whines)

What a bust Dahlmen turned out to be...although I don't really care because he turned his back on his state. I didn't know he was still on their roster. That's probably the classiest thing Izzo has done...I'd probably have cut him by now.

Congrats on the dumbest post in Gopher Hole history. And that's quite an accomplishment.

I also wonder how a guy that is yelling the F-bomb almost continually can be called a "class act".
