Claeys vs. Limegrover

I know the first half is hard to watch, but give Limegrover a year with an experience QB (that reads as next season) before you decide he does not know what he is doing. The guys we have played the last three weeks are all decent coaches who don't just line up against bigger teams and do the same stuff they always do. They make changes that confuse young o-lines and QBs and our staff has to make adjustments and explain it to the players. It takes longer to explain with young players. I think it takes us too long to adjust some times, but Limegrover really wants to know what he is facing before he adjusts things, so the first quarter looks like crap while he makes up his mind about what he wants to do. this is also complicated a lot by our lack of speed at TB, so thee is not much danger in stacking the box.
It is not pretty to watch, but it is part of building a program; you have to build players not just recruit them.

There's quite a difference between scrambling out of the pocket and trying to bust runs off tackle. Our QBs aren't great runners, not that elusive, but even a guy like Gray couldn't hold up for a season. Sit back with your rosé colored glasses on - don't worry a bit.

A guy like gray? What kind of guy was that as a qb? If we need 4 qb then we need a dozen rb. I bet a lot of you who fret over qb injuries will be the first to whine about not running the qb if we moved away from it. BTW, can anybody name how many times in the last decade or so we've been taken to town by opposing qbs who tucked the ball and ran down our throats? Geez, qbs run in college fb. Injuries occur in the pocket too.
