"It started with a pancake block Monday, as Gophers center Tommy Olson flattened redshirt freshman defensive lineman Demaris Peppers.

Soon, Peppers was taking out his frustrations on Olson, so while the rest of the team got a water break, assistant coach Jeff Phelps pulled the defensive linemen aside and made them do up-downs. That’s the drill where they run in place and drop their chests to the ground each whistle.

When the Gophers resumed their 11-on-11 session, Olson drove linebacker Damien Wilson to the sideline, a move that probably would have drawn a flag for unnecessary roughness..."

This totally gives me warm fuzzies. Best thing I've read so far. OLine is where it all starts; those boys need a mean streak.

Not necessarily. If it occurred after the whistle blew, then yes. If he stays on his block and drove him to the sidelines and not the bench then there is no foul.

It happened right in front of me. It looked like one of those good long blocks that frustrated Wilson.

Epping and Olson side by side! This whole OL will be side by side. Get excited! They are B1G ready!

Talking the talk we have heard that Campion has been asked to be ready to play guard. Tons for praise for Pirsig. Its all about team work, but my starting O line is Lauer, Epping, Olson, Campion, Pirsig.
