Sam Sura, a 5-foot-11, 185-pound running back from South St. Paul, helped play the spoiler role last weekend as he lead the Packers to a 32-31 win over St. Thomas Academy in the section 3AAAA finals. The win prevented the Cadets and Gopher commit Isaac Hayes from meeting Mankato West and fellow Minnesota verbal Phil Nelson in the state quarterfinals at Chanhassen Friday night. Sura is hoping that they can knocked off the No. 1 ranked Scarlets after defeated #2 St. Thomas last week. GopherHole.com caught up with Sura after their comeback win to learn more about his senior campaign, their big playoff win and his college recruitment.
