Chris Monter Q&A: Junior Big Men Kyle Bauman Gets Gopher Looks

Kyle Bauman, a 6-foot-8, 235-pound junior from Wells (MN) United South Central, is one of the state’s top big men from the Class of 2012. Bauman has shined last year as a member of the Wear Out The Net Gold AAU program and will play for Minnesota Select this spring and summer. He took an unofficial visit at Minnesota last summer. GopherHole.com recently caught up with Bauman to learn the latest on his recruitment.

GH: What types of things are you working on to improve yourself as a player?

KB: My perimeter ballhandling skills a lot and finishing inside strong.


The mid range jumper, I never see it mentioned as a skill that needs to be developed. A 6'8" player with size and strength that can shoot the jumper and finish strong is invaluable.
