Chris Monter: Prior Lake Junior Matt Arends Draws Comparisons to Eric Decker

Matt Arends, a junior wide receiver/safety from Prior Lake (MN) High, has been compared to Minnesota Gopher great Eric Decker by Lakers assistant and ex-Gopher Mike Sherels. That is quite a compliment for any player, but Arends has helped lead the Lakers to a surprising 4-2 start in the new South Suburban Conference. Arends attended the Minnesota-Northwestern game and recently talked to GopherHole.com about his season and recruitment.
