Chris Monter: Curtis "C.J." Jones Gets Gopher Attention

Curtis “C.J. Jones, a 6-foot-1, 180-pound junior point guard from Chicago (IL) Orr Academy, is one of the top playmakers in the Midwest. He attended the Full Court Fall Showcase in Minnesota last weekend and recently received a visit from Minnesota assistant coach Vince Taylor. Jones talked to GopherHole.com recently about recruitment and interest in Minnesota.

Good young player. He was at the UI Midnight Madness. He plays with current UI commit Mychael Henry, but I doubt that Illinois will have a scholarship for him. Not because he isn't good enough, but because of a scholarship crunch in the next couple of years. Lots of really good young players in the state in the 2013 and 2014 classes. 2012, not so much.
