per Chip:

Miller pulled no punches in his first meeting with his group. He told them that the culture was going to change and that the process would be a kick in the pants.

“It’s not for the faint of heart,” Miller said. “If you can’t take it, there’s no negotiation. You’re out, next guy in. We’ll find somebody that will.”

And here’s a bucket of nails to chew on. Grrrrr!

That wake-up call was both piercing and necessary. A power running game built on the shoulders of tough, ornery linemen should be the hallmark of Minnesota football. That needs to be a fundamental mentality.

Go Gophers!!

71 strikes me as a "dirtbag". That's a compliment. The gentle giant and the teddy bear on the left side...I dunno. I want to see Connor Mayes tear a linebacker in half. Metaphorically speaking, of course.

Sam Schlueter is #71 now, but maybe that is to whom you were referring to.

Tyler Moore formerly #71 is #77 now.

Tyler Moore. I guess his number changed. I need to brush up.

It confused me a few weeks ago when I was looking at the Gopher's practice pics and I was trying to figure who the beast looking #77 was.

Well I think this unit is our biggest question mark going into the season. Hopefully there is a surprise or two outside of the 5 projected starters.

I guess I'd rather hope the 5 projected starters stay healthy, dominate, and no surprises are needed...

The story of Bart at Wisc was he showed up and took a struggling OL and instilled some attitude and they got some greatly improved performance. Here is hoping he can do that here.

This just in: Offensive line said to be "meaner" for the 10th consecutive offseason.

I guess it can take all kinds. Eslinger was one of my favorites. I never thought of him as mean and nasty. He was one of the few guys who actually did play to the whistle even if the play was directed away.
Setterstrom, on the other hand, was one mean and dirty SOB.
It will be interesting to see how the current line reacts to Coach Miller. Winning helps.

I'm being led to believe Limey told them to be more courteous in their play.

Can really only get better compared last year's group. I think everyone is going to be pleasantly surprised...sans the opposing D lines.
