Answer is Tanner not allowed or he can't see it. Each time he was buried by blitz all receivers were running deep routes. No option for quick shot to area vacated.

Compare our average plays run -- with huge TOP "win" -- to a high powered offense. A good offense will run more plays in less time. Fleck's fixation on TOP is a detriment.

It seems since Sanford and Son he looks over to the sidelines more than in the past, like 3 times per play vs 1 or 2. It's ridiculous.

Pretty crazy the O gets 100 to 200 yards more per game vs 2 power 5 opponents than vs 2 MAC opponents.

Why bother asking the coaches? We've got a board half full of people who apparently know the Gophers offensive personnel and even the playbook better than the coaching staff. You can find all the answer you need right here

You honestly have to look at the Offensive Coordinator, that is the difference. Yes, Johnson and Bateman are gone but that does not account for what we are seeing. There are still receivers on this team plenty talented enough to have an offense that can function at a high level, you just need a quality Offensive Coach/QB coach. Even with CRAB out, you still have enough. Even with Dylan Wright out, you still have enough. Fleck thought he could hire Sanford and continue his success, he was wrong, and he will inevitably come to that conclusion at some point. It's just how long will it take him? I say when the L's pile up because the O is brutal, that's when.

Seriously? The offense has been exactly the same since Fleck arrived in Dinkytown. Predictable, unimaginative, obvious, unadaptable. Everyone - including opposing coaches - knows this.

C'Mon man. If you don't think throwing to two NFL-caliber receivers in 2019 made Morgan look better then he really is, you're watching different games than the rest of us. The proof is on film.

The outcome couldn't lie. Sanford Jr's junkyard tracks are all over this. There is a failure of game-planning, preparation, and coaching. More importantly, not respecting their opponent with the lack of detailed planning. The two bad decisions by PJ Fleck ultimately lead to the demise in the hands of BGSU.

I would not be surprised if a philosophical conflict exist between Simon and Sanford Jr. "Tell me how to steer the d@mn boat! We are about to run aground!"

BGSU deserved credit for doing their homework. If you look around the country the last three years, there are P5 teams like tOSU that get upset by a supposedly inferior opponent.

PJ should be paying closer attention to what his coaches are doing.

So true.

Many of our GopherHole friends are severely under-employed. They should be coaching college football, for fun and profit.

If that ever happened, you would finally see more throws to the tight ends. And the team would never call a running play when a pass was obviously the correct choice. Oh, and the team's clock management would be flawless.
