Really like his moves. Reminds me of Elijah Hawkins... Only 6'2" -- as opposed to 5'9".

He's the former Michigan Mr. Basketball, right?
Haha what?
Corky Taylor...nice guy, but I'd advise against shaking hands with him.If would be terrific to restore our Detroit-area pipeline of years past: Corky Taylor; John Shasky; Willie Burton; Voshon Lenard and others I’m sure…
In today’s world, he must have at least a full five years of D1 to left to play.He played 1 year of D2 and 1 year of JUCO so might have more than 1 year of eligibility left?
We never got Glen Rice, though. If would be terrific to restore our Detroit-area pipeline of years past: Corky Taylor; John Shasky; Willie Burton; Voshon Lenard and others I’m sure…
Forget the part about coming here.....there are very few players with no weaknesses available going anywhere. And those are the guys who will get ridiculous sums of money tossed at them from the handful of schools able to do things like that.Yeah, some of these people make me giggle and shake my head. They must think there is a huge bounty of players with no weaknesses who are enthusiastic about coming here.
He'd be one of the best FT Shooters on a Ben team. Also while 72% isn't an incredible FT % it hardly makes him a liability at the line.
That's the model. That's what Wisconsin does.Forget the part about coming here.....there are very few players with no weaknesses available going anywhere. And those are the guys who will get ridiculous sums of money tossed at them from the handful of schools able to do things like that.
The advantage Niko has is that he has a system and a pretty good idea of what kinds of players he needs to make it work.
Hopefully he can keep on adding and end up with a team capable of competing in the Big Ten and finishing with a decent record in year 1.
We have a "full list of guards?"Great pick up on many levels. Fits the system. Seems like a beloved alum was part of the process. And he committed knowing we have fist full of guards and he wasn’t afraid to take on the challenge. Says a lot about his character.
Still need a good big who can play 25 minutes.
"Fist full of guards", not "full list".We have a "full list of guards?"
Huh?
A 2nd teamer from the MAC sounds like a depth add in the Big Ten to me.Is that all he's allowed to do is shoot 3's and FT's?
All-Mac 2nd team guard, led the entire MAC in PPG AND Assists per game. 23rd in the entire country in assists per game to be exact. 5th in the MAC in steals as well.
There's more to basketball than shooting 3's
Sounds like this team is going to be a whole lot quicker than we were last year! This reminds me of how Monson described Aaron Robinson when they signed him.
Maybe. At the same time the NBA is filled with guys who played at mid-major in college.A 2nd teamer from the MAC sounds like a depth add in the Big Ten to me.
Pastor Luke Witte & Corky made their peace long ago. Corky dedicated his professional years to civil rights & the City of Minneapolis. He raised two fine sons. He passed away from cancer. Now, with all due respect, that’s a fuller picture of the life of Corky Taylor.Corky Taylor...nice guy, but I'd advise against shaking hands with him.
Over 70% is incredible, as we had only 4 exceed that last season with our brick shootingYeah, anything over 70% is decent, over 80% is really good and if a kid is in the 90% range he is exceptional at the line. But anyone hitting at least 70% can be in a game late without being a liability for sure.
Thanks for posting. I had mentally put together a much snarkier post making the same point. Yours is much better.Pastor Luke Witte & Corky made their peace long ago. I guess not thinking he’s the greatest thing since sliced bread and we’ll retire his number is being a negative Nancy.I'd get excited about the recent transfers, but the board Negative Nancys will come down on me for being positive.![]()
I guess there are only Stephen Currys and complete flops with no in-between.I guess not thinking he’s the greatest thing since sliced bread and we’ll retire his number is being a negative Nancy.
Seems like that’s what you’re implying. I just said he sounds like a depth add.I guess there are only Stephen Currys and complete flops with no in-between.
Where did I imply what? All I said is that I better not show any optimism or the pessimists would come down on me. (Thanks for proving my point).Seems like that’s what you’re implying. I just said he sounds like a depth add.
Give me a break, nobody is going way over the top like that about the commitment.I guess not thinking he’s the greatest thing since sliced bread and we’ll retire his number is being a negative Nancy.
