Using the final playoff rankings, my 8-team playoff would be:

#1 Clemson vs #8 Houston
#2 Alabama vs #7 Ohio St
#3 Michigan St vs #6 Stanford
#4 Oklahoma vs #5 Iowa

#8 Houston, as the top G5 replaces Notre Dame

I'd like a 6 team playoff, the 5 conference champs and 1 at large (could be from group of 5 or next highest power 5 team. Have top 2 seeds have a bye. Play the first two games at home site or rotate games to various big cities, like Indy, Atlanta, Minneapolis, Dallas, etc.). Then play semifinals like they do know, rotating between top bowls. Keeps the regular season games important and doesn't add too much, remember, they are students first (wink emoji insert here)
