Kicks off tonight with the Pac-12 championship, and then we got a great slate of matchups that will help determine the playoff and, of course, conference championships. Should be a fun day and a half of watching.

Friday
8pm 7 Arizona vs 2 Oregon (Santa Clara, CA)

Saturday
11am Iowa State @ 3 TCU
3pm 16 Missouri vs 1 Alabama (Atlanta, GA)
6:45pm 9 Kansas State @ 6 Baylor
7pm 11 Georgia Tech vs 4 Florida State (Charlotte, NC)
7:17pm 13 Wisconsin vs 5 Ohio State (Indianapolis, IN)
9pm Fresno State @ 22 Boise State

Let's get this weekend started off right with an Oregon upset.

Arizona has a shot at the playoff if they can pull it off tonight. A W over Oregon, losses by Ohio State and Baylor (both OK bets) and they could sneak in at #4 regardless of what happens elsewhere.

They'd need an FSU loss too.

I guess I assumed they'd jump Oregon with two wins over them. #1 Alabama/#2 TCU/#3 FSU/#4 Arizona/#5 Oregon/#6 Kansas State. Maybe they wouldn't but that'd be some sort of crime IMO.

You're right. I confused myself. Oregon would be out of the picture then.

Go Arizona!!!
Go Mizzo !!!

Let Chaos rule!!

I am the biggest Mizzou fan this weekend. Would love for them and GT to win!!!

Pac 12 kickoff. The whole upper deck at Levi's Stadium is empty. I am sure we will see the same thing tomorrow night in Indianapolis.

Ohio St. should bring a good amount since their fans don't have to travel too far.

Yep. And what happens if Arizona, Ohio St., Baylor and Florida St. all lose? That would mean teams #4-7 would have lost. Alabama, TCU, and Oregon would be in. Who gets the 4th spot? My guess is Kansas St. would move ahead of Michigan St. with their win over Baylor. Would they get in ahead of a 1-loss Florida St?

Unlikely scenario but still possible.

My #1 goal is for FSU not to win it all. With that in mind, I will painfully pull for Oregon and Bama. My best possible result would be for a TCU national title.

Arizona is lucky it isn't 28-0 right now. Oregon has absolutely dominated this game, yet it is only 13-0.

Does Arizona still get a committee bowl? Is the Pac-12 guaranteed one beyond the playoff? If so, wouldn't UCLA be in the discussion if tonight ends ugly?

Michigan State won't get into the playoff, but they could end up being #5 or #6. This Arizona embarrassment (looks like Rich Rod's Michigan teams) moves Sparty up a spot from #8. Georgia Tech and Badgers the only threats to pass them from behind.

What do the Gophers and Sparty have in common? There's a very real chance both could end up having played 2 of the 4 CFP participants.

Yikes. Arizona looks terrible.

About as bad as the field surface looks. Spend a billion on a beautiful facility and they STILL can't figure out how to get a playing surface to take. I'm clueless when it comes to that stuff but can always assume if a game is in SF, chunks of sod will be flying.

The good thing about this is that Gordon has virtually no shot of winning the Heisman now. I think his only shot was if Mariota played bad and Oregon lost, and then Gordon went off in a Wisconsin win.

Ya, Mariotta has to be a lock right about now. 52 touchdowns and 5 turnovers. 4500 yards. Best player in the country without a doubt.

ESPN Radio just ripped the Gophers football team. Said the only reason the committee had Minnesota #25 for a few weeks was to "make TCU look good so it can keep Baylor out".
I was mad until I realized that it was Mel Kiper Jr I was listening too. He is past his prime and isn't locked in anymore college football or NFL. Mike Mayock and NFL Network have much better NFL draft coverage today then espn.

I dont know who is better TCU or Baylor. I only know that if Baylor is left out of playoffs it isnt because the Committee is artificially making the Gophers better than they are. Screw you Mel Kiper and espn.

My theory is they want to let the season play out and want to create as much discussion to eventuallypush the Big XII to a Championship game.

If that were true, why wouldn't they have left MN in the top 25 after a close loss at Wisconsin? I thought we were more deserving of staying in the top 25 this week after being #18 than when we didn't move after the Ohio St. loss.

Missouri and Wisconsin winning are our best chances at getting the Citrus Bowl back.

Any way the B1G get Citrus back with 1 of those 2 winning?

Yes, we'd likely get it back with a Missouri win regardless of what happens in the Wisconsin/OSU game.

A Wisconsin win just makes it more likely that the Gophers are the team to play in it. Missouri winning is a must though.

Wow is anyone watching GameDay? What a terrible showing by the fans in Waco. I hope if we ever get it in Minneapolis that we would show up. There isn't even 500 people out there.

Only the Pac-12 champion is guaranteed a berth in the access bowls.

With last night's pitiful showing, I think Arizona is out of the Fiesta, and might have fallen all the way to a return trip to San Francisco for bowl season. Arizona was 7th this week - they'll need to remain ranked ahead of Ole Miss, who was 12th. If not, and with UCLA and USC seemingly the preferred choices of the Alamo and Holiday Bowls, the Foster Farms Bowl would be forced to take either Arizona or ASU.

What last night means for the Big Ten? It's more likely Ohio State will get placed in an access bowl even with a loss tonight.

Funny "pro-Baylor" sign from GameDay:
