They predict Iowa to finish 7-5, and the skunks, who are now 2-2, to finish 2-10.

7-5 is certainly on the table but 9-3 also still very much in play. Game this weekend will give us a pretty good feel for where things are headed. Hopefully fixed a lot of the issues from the Cal game and are ready to hit the ground running in conference play.

Sconnie going 0-9 in conference play.....damn....but looking at their remaining schedule it isn't impossible. Even with his massive buyout I don't think Fickell would survive that.

You'll forgive me for not thinking CFN is the arbiter of the future for college football.

While I disagree with several of their predictions, reaching 7-5 isn't hard to envision, although 6-6 looks just as likely, and 8-4 wouldn't surprise me, depending on how things break for some of our opponents. I disagree with their take on several teams in the B1G so far this season.

It's still quite early, and injuries can change anything, but here's what I think we know:

We should win @NW and Wisc.
We should lose @OSU and @Oregon.
That gets us to 5-3 overall and 2-2 conf.

@ Iowa is tough, is what it is, but should be a game we have every right to compete for the win.

The big thing is the remaining four games, all at home: Rutgers, Purdue, Nebraska, Mich State. These games determine the season. 4-0 would be awesome, but probably not realistic with Fleck and the style of football he plays. I just hope its 3-1 and not 2-2. That puts huge pressure on the Iowa game.

totally agree with everything.
If we finish 5-4 in the conference that’s a pretty decent season with a freshmen QB
