Collegefootballnews.com has put out its pre-season rankings for all 130 FBS college football teams.

20. Minnesota Golden Gophers
Relative Strength: Wide Receiver
Relative Concern: Linebacker
2019 CFN Final Season Formula Ranking: 25
2019 CFN Preview Ranking: 43
Minnesota Quick Take: The 2020 Gophers will show that 2019 wasn’t a fluke. The schedule won’t be as easy early on – no mediocre non-conference games to fatten up on – but the passing game will be among the nation’s most efficient and the defense will be fine once the pass rushers emerge.

Their top five:

1. Ohio State
2. Clemson
3. Alabama
4. Georgia
5. LSU

Rankings of B1G teams:

1. Ohio State
8. Penn State
10. Michigan
11. Wisconsin
20. Minnesota
27. Iowa
40. Michigan State
47. Nebraska
49. Indiana
53. Northwestern
58. Purdue
70. Illinois
73. Maryland
85. Rutgers

And, just for the heck of it, at #130 is UConn.

Seems fair.

As it pertains to UConn, I have a colleague who played women's hockey there and she describes the football program as an absolute trainwreck. She attributes a lot of UConn's financial issues within the athletic department to football's utter lack of competency. A lot of bad mojo in Storrs these days.
