CBS: There won't be any new bowl games created for at least three years

The 5-7 Bowl debate really grinds my gears. If you don't like it, don't watch it. Personally, I was very happy to have another game to watch last year. I watched it in a bar in AZ with my family and 6 IPAs. Why complain about having another Gopher game to watch... if you want to.

Yeah this one has been so beaten to death it isn't even fun anymore to watch the bickering back and forth. Pretty much everyone seems to agree that the bowl system is ridiculously watered down at this point and doesn't carry anything close to the meaning that it once did. Still it is something to watch during the holidays so it is what it is. I am glad that the NCAA put a hold on new games for a few years though to review things. 40 games is plenty and already getting into the "everyone gets a trophy territory" but it certainly isn't the massive deal some have made it out to be.

Well I'll have more room to set my beer down. My season tix are right next to the visitors section, so usually some jackoff from another school is next to me anyways

All that matters to me is if the coaches and players felt going to the bowl game was beneficial to the team/program. If it made them better in any way, then I'm all for it.
