CBS: Source: Iowa State's Royce White headed to NBA

I also wish him well, but to state how he did not get in trouble in Ames for over two years, come on, their is really nothing in Ames to get into trouble at, unless you count tipping over cows or counting corn!

Last I checked Ames still had bars, parties, drugs, etc. just like a big city. Iowa city isn't exactly a major metro area either and they have tons of players get into trouble, how can that be.

sarcasm dude, I have a lot of relatives in Iowa and to try and compare it to the big cities,...well. I just got back from spending a week down in Ames- last Saturday night!

Elite college talent does not often mean elite NBA talent. I have not idea he will do in the NBA, he averaged 13 & 9 in college, not exactly huge numbers.

Sorry I was typing while at work. What I should have said was elite college talent that will translate to the NBA. I caught a few ISU games and he was always the best player on the court.

If he works on his conditioning a little bit, I think his game will translate very well to the pro-level. He's got lots of things going for him...mid range jumper, some bulk to him to muscle around inside, ball-handling, seems to have his head on straight now. I'm disappointed that he didn't end up playing for us (regardless of the reasons), but am happy to see him being successful. Good luck Royce!

I'm still confused how scoring 23 & 9 in a blowout loss could elevate him from not getting drafted to 30+/-. Maybe I am way off, but I still don't think he will not make it in NBA 'IF' he get's drafted in the first.

Rodney has always been borderline draft-worthy, he has to be close with the way he is closing his junior season.

As a side note I don't hate Royce, much like Kris Hump, I don't care if he succeeds or fails. Doesn't affect me either way.
