It was also the first loss to the Gophers in Kinnick Stadium since 1999. To make matters worse, it was the second conference loss for Iowa, slotting the Hawkeyes behind Wisconsin in the Big Ten West race. Iowa is tied with Minnesota and Nebraska in the loss column.
