CBS: Calipari tosses veiled shot at Coach K on radio

It's not very often I say this, but I say good for you Slick Cal. The media's defense of Coach K has been truly entertaining. Even the media is afraid of him, excusing K by saying the rule is stupid (which it is, but that's beside the point).

The NCAA makes an example of Izzo for inadvertantly breaking a stupid rule of another kind, Izzo gets suspended (and embarrassed) for 1 game and takes it like a man. Coach K does something similar, but I highly doubt the NCAA will have the nuts to make an example out of him.

Well, we all know that if Coach K gets suspended for a game and if his team loses that game, he'll make a big deal about Duke's official record showing he wasn't on the bench for that loss, as he did that year he was out with the back injury.

Go Gophers!!

Coach Cal will be lucky to ever achieve half of the things Coach K has in his career. I think Cal might just be a little jealous over the recruiting class Duke has coming in.

I don't think Cal is jelous of K's 2011 class. Maybe Austin Rivers, but besides that....

You might want to check Kentucky's recruiting class...Anthony Davis, Michael Gilchrist, and Marquis Teague are all top 10 recruits with their other kid a top 25 recruit. Doubt that there's any jealousy for Duke or any other program when it comes to recruiting.

While I'm certainly no Calipari apologist, I do like that he's not shy in tweaking the halo that's been adorned upon Coach K's head. As with every other coach in D-1, K's not infallible despite what his loyal subjects like to advance.

hope somebody steps up now and also mentions his recent phone calls to Tyus, which I have heard we're during a time when coaches we're not allowed to call kids. Glad that somebody is calling him out but Calipari is so dirty that it's hard to take much of what he says serious. I don't think coach K breaks the big rules like Cal, but over the years there have been plenty of stories of him paying very little attention to the little rules as he knows the ncaa will never touch him. Thats how Humphries was able to play right away at MINN.

What about all K's "assistants"

Let's not forget the many "assistants" that Coach K has employed over the years. You know, the ones that have sons who play basketball and just happen to be highly-ranked.
