The NFL is expected to move the draft back to June 1st. They can't push it back any further than that without approval of the players union, and i doubt they would want to anyway. I would expect most NFL caliber players to opt out of playing in the Spring.

Don’t think you’re wrong, but when NFL Europe was a thing, didn’t players play that in the spring and then go on to play in the fall season?

Waiting to see how things unfold, is of course a valid decision in the present, informed by the (lack of) past information.

I understand that you want to be very cautious and see what happens with the other leagues.

I feel information at present gives good reason to play in the fall. Am not sure why big10 leadership is automatically given credit for being empathetic. Many big10 players/parents would argue that the playing conferences are the empathetic ones. Big ten should have been given options.

Certainly you dont think those conferences arent acting in the best interests of their players?

I suspect they're going to just be moving the goalposts / maybe nothing happens, but I would rather move the posts a few times than be the first to dive in head first and see a mess....

Perhaps the 1-2 players from NFL Europe who made an NFL roster. There weren't many. Not a valid comparison.
