Why exactly shouldn't Golden encourage walk-ons? In South Florida, he's sitting on arguably the best football talent pool in the Nation. It costs zip to hold walk-on tryouts & builds bonds with the student body & campus press. It's a no-brainer. The idea that Miami is SOOOO awesome that walkons are beneath them is blind arrogance.

Earlier this week, the Denver Post's Woody Paige was one of those critics on ESPN's Around The Horn. Paige said the Hurricanes were in "deep trouble" and added that "you wouldn't beat anybody" with a 230-pound offensive lineman.

This right here symbolizes what's wrong with the media and their lack of knowledge. Does Woody honestly think that Golden plans on playing 230 pound offensive lineman? LOL
