CB Kiondre Thomas Commits to the Gophers

Cool story. Running a 4.46 (which incidentally is not a 4.4) would've placed him tied for 8th in the 40 among CBs in the 2015 NFL Draft combine. I don't care what Nike or that website says, he didn't run a 4.4 or a 4.46.

I'm with you!

We've had exactly one player in recent program history with legitimate 4.4 speed.

he does have some speed. 11.4 in the 100m dash

Multiple people have said he reminds them of Murray. I am okay with that.

Sorry Burns but I can confirm he ran a hand timed 4.38. Hand time is legit also

Tracy Claeys is on the board! Welcome aboard Kiondre!

Hope he doesn't keep his head down like Murray. TURN TO THE BALL!

anyway, Welcome!

I hope you mean 10.4. In any case, welcome aboard Kiondre!

11.4 is okay for a jr in HS, and a db
By way of comparison the fastest 100m run by the track team in 2015 was 10.5

Not a track star, but plenty fast to get out of ft smith ar

Speed on the football field is slightly different from speed on the track. He may just suck at getting out of the blocks.

Go Gophers!!

He actually is a track star. I don't know where the 11.4 came from, but I found many better times from him. The problem is I started out searching "Kiondre Thomas" but his name on all of his track and field stuff shows up as "Keondre Thomas" I found that he had the fastest time in the state of Arkansas last year at 10.81 for the 100m.

Much more encouraging than 11.4!!

Future starting secondary of Kiondre, Kionte and a pair of Daniels?

Welcome, Kiondre. You will love it here at the real U.

A true blink of an eye takes about 1/3 of a second… 300 to 400 milliseconds. Mr Thomas is fast and we had better keep our eyes open when watching our Gophers!

For comparison, it takes me about 10 seconds to get out of a chair.

Speed like that could be a real asset on Kick offs or punt returns in special teams, and it never hurts to have fast guys at CB.
Welcome aboard to the U family Kiondre Thomas, and SKI-U-MAH!
