Week 13 — Nov. 27 vs. Minnesota (Lincoln, Neb.)
While the Golden Gophers aren't Iowa, this year's tilt against P.J. Fleck could easily mean the world to Nebraska football. Last year's 34-7 victory over the Huskers made an emphatic statement that Minnesota was ready to give their best shot against anyone.

This year, a victory over Fleck's Gophers in Lincoln may be what punches Nebraska's ticket to the postseason. Considering the rather epic row they have to hoe on the back end of 2020's slate, playing in any bowl should be considered a success.

Go Gophers!!

With their schedule they almost have to.... but they won't.

Go Gophers!!

By the time the gophers get to Lincoln, they will have beaten Iowa handily, and be finishing ahead of Iowa for the second straight season. I think he's right, we aren't Iowa!

By the way, isn't Nebraska's schedule, brutal?

Nebraska could very well be coming into the Gopher game with 4 straight losses. If that were the case, it'll be interesting to see how motivated or beat down they'll be. If they don't get to 6 wins prior to that game, Frost could very well be coaching for his job (although being the NE royalty he is, he'll probably get a 4th year regardless). You always have to fear a cornered raccoon.

Week 9: at Ohio State
Week 10: vs. Penn State
Week 11: at Iowa
Week 12: vs. Wisconsin
Week 13: vs. Minnesota

No bye weeks in between. Absolutely brutal. I like our chances.

The Huskers season will be long over by Thanksgiving weekend.

going to be real rough for them if they get to 5 wins early and drop the last 5 to miss the postseason. could very much see it happening though

Looking at their schedule, they are in some trouble. Purdue isn't a gimme, Cincinnati is improved, we saw first hand what the Jackrabbits are all about, Illinois is improved, Northwestern has to be better and you end with a very very very tough 5 games. Could realistically be a 3-9 or 4-10 campaign for the Huskers.

Neb in general ... and now under Scott too ... really seems fragile emotionally.

PJ, and all the other coaches speak openly that if you can hit Nebraska hard early in a game, sometimes they'll fold.

Really hard to know what shape that team will be in emotionally.

You can be sure they are extremely sorry they joined the Big Ten. I wonder if they will eventually move to another conference.

Not sure their collective go could take bolting from the B1G... unless the B12 turned back into the Big 8....

Ya, I don't think it played out the way they had envisioned, football-wise. But, I am glad to have them in the Big Ten, not just for football, but especially for women's volleyball.

I do think their albums are happy with the increased reputation of a Nebraska degree though.

hey Nebraska Fans...you need to keep wearing your 1995-96 Starter jackets...keep living in the past...keep thinking your Huskers are a National powerhouse=blueblood program (ahahaha)...keep thinking that you'll be in the Orange Bowl vs Miami...keep shouting "go Blackshirts" when neither team is wearing a black jersey...Nebraska fans are brainless...somewhere along the way they've been given a lobotomy...Nebraska fans...the Big Ten is laughing at you. Time for you to act the way you should. Go Big Red is not so big anymore...:))))

Has Nebbie appeared to fold when down midway through a game- certainly. Never heard all the coaches speak openly about it though

I attended my first Gopher/Nebraska game in 2019. Previously I believed the Starter jacket comments were just a joke on here, but after attending the game, I realize it is a real thing.

Also, I don't follow SDSU football at all, but last year if SDSU played Nebraska I believe SDSU would have won. SDSU may give Nebraska all it can handle in 2020.

Another loss to Fleck’s Gophers could be all it takes to punch Frost’s ticket out of Lincoln.

As many have said; SDSU was so ready to beat the Gophers last year. It was clear in the fans attitude and they played with confidence on the field. I predict SDSU will beat the Huskers this year. Husker players will take them lightly and no matter what Frost tells them, he will have a hard time motivating the typical Husker player against a percieved inferior team. Wandale is key as he will be freaky atheltic as always but SDSU can game plan for him.

Worthless games for the Big 10 to play. That game is circled right now on SDSU's schedule.

Nebraska players, thats the last game they are thinking about.

If Frosty loses to the Gophs and misses another bowl, he would feel like he got "donkey punched".

It's Nebraska's Super Bowl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lose to Minnesota again and dead Huskers will rise from their graves a la The Walking Dead.

It would be that bad.

I actually prefer Fear the Walking Dead...which would be more a propo because there we get to see the start of it all. That would line up here...

Nebraska in the playoffs...delusional much?

Nebraska has twenty 4-Star players on their 2019 roster according to 247SPorts - https://247sports.com/Team/Nebraska-37/Roster/

You'd think with that much talent that Nebraska under Frost would be at least making it to a college bowl from the start.

I like how a home game against Minnesota constitutes part of a brutal schedule now. It should.

Nebraska deserves every bit of what it deserves. They've looked down on Minnesota Iowa Indiana Purdue and Wisconsin....It think that maybe it's time they want out.

edit: add Illinois too...

and PS...F Nebraska.
