Hey ref....you need to go back to working 9 man football games maybe you can keep up.

"Does the sporting goods store where you bought that striped shirt and whistle give refunds?"

After the game, Golden Shower has invited us over to meet his wife!

Hey GIP...since this thread has proven that gopherholers are terrible caption writers (not aimed at you, just a general statement about this thread), and you are online as I type this...tell me something; I have a full day (Wednesday) between meetings on Tuesday and Thursday, and I'll be in Philly. What should I do?

So, what to do on a Wednesday in Philly. Assuming you are in center city. I would start my day at Reading Terminal. Great coffee, get some breakfast and get the blood flowing. Or hit the 9th street Italian market and take it all in...oldest continous running outdoor market in America.

After that, head to Consitution Hall and see how our country was founded. It is great fun. After all the walking and site seeing you should be a little hungry again...so I am going to hit Fork on Market and 3rd. It is the best lunch in the city.

After lunch I am hitting the Franklin Institute, Art Museum or Rodin Museum. All on the same side of town and all are great. After that, back to my hotel to freshen up and then, depending on which part of the city I am staying in, I would either hit Olde City (2nd and Market) or Rittenhouse Square (18th and Walnut) for drinks/dinner. Many great options in both areas and lots of lively conversation.

Kill: "See that construction site down the road?"
Ref: "Yeah."
Kill: "I can't wait until construction is complete. Then Norwood will finally let me tell that team in purple to get off my lawn!"

Thank you! Was planning on Reading terminal, but didn't consider it for breakfast...altering plans now. New jump off point.

Love the lunchtime ideas. Also need to head to a Vespa dealer and hope to find a t-shirt at one of them (it's a thing of mine). Also planning on a late afternoon Guinness (or two) at Black Sheep. Plus I want to walk around boathouse row.

Forgot about the Rodin Museum...looking forward to that. I'm staying out closer to Pottstown, so I'll probably have dinner around there. But I'll push that out late to spend more time around Center City. How much time should I allocate to Valley Forge? I should be able to fit that in my schedule since I'll be arriving tomorrow in the afternoon.

Would be tough to do Valley Forge if you plan on doing anything else. It is fricking huge. The walking tours take hours. Boat house row is great. Only place I have ever eaten in Pottstown is Boneyard Joe's BBQ place it was real good. Black Sheep is great. You can also walk a couple blocks and hit Monk's Cafe...its a hoot. Can't help you with the Vespa dealer. Of course you can always head to Geno's or Pats so you can take a selfie to prove you had the real Philly experience. Just an FYI - Pats all the way! Have fun and enjoy the city!
