This picture is priceless. Not only is Sid not with the other reporters, but he's holding on to his 1970s tape recorder.

"I never could figure out these damned modern electronics."

"great googly moogly, I just recorded over a Sandy Stephens interview with Mitch Leidner.."

Where am I? Who am I? Damn forgot my lunch again!

"Damn! This iPhone 6 is just not big enough...I thought I ordered an iPhone 6 Plus!"

"Murray's sure has gone downhill since Pat Murray died. This steak is hard as a rock."

I thought this thing would clean all the food spots off my tie.

So where is Rich Libernar the QB?

"Whugagalagalagalaga screeeeeeech!" "How could the cassette tape be jammed up into a bunch?" "Amelia! You bought me some cheap cassette tapes!"

Crap, I can't hear at all and now I won't be able to have anyone listen to this meeting to tell me what happen.

Probably not the only thing Sid had jammed into a bunch.

Damn glad I saved the receipt for this recorder, RCA better stand behind their warranty, they said it was guaranteed for life!

Wait a minute, this isn't my tape recorder it's my answering machine.

"Oh my! This isn't good. Though if I can just hold my recorder like so maybe no one will notice that I accidentally took that Cialis instead of my heart medication".

I think you really captured: "...the end of an era..." It has a kind of "bittersweet" personal and private moment for Sid...his many decades of covering Gopher Sports surrounded by players...media members... standing so all alone...with his back to what may be happening in the here and now...just gazing down at his old recorder: still looking for the story. I don't know why, Nadine, but, somehow that picture captures a real "ENDING MOMENT" so vividly and tells it's story without any words. I'd advise you to hang on to that photo. I think it captures an image so many people here in Minnesota have a memory of...in the STRIB...on WCCO...of a tireless, driven and passionate Minnesota Tradition. I will give you my "golden imaginary Pulitzer Prize award..." for a truly unique, poignant photo capturing the passing of the torch and beginning of a memory... Your picture IS worth a thousand words, Nadine!
