Here's a look at the 2015 schedule: http://www.gophersports.com/sports/m-footbl/spec-rel/future-schedules.html

9/3: TCU
9/12: at Colorado St.
9/19: Kent St.
9/26: Ohio
10/3: at Northwestern
10/10: at Purdue
10/17: Nebraska
10/24: Bye
10/31: Michigan
11/7: at Ohio St.
11/14: at Iowa
11/21: Illinois
11/28: Wisconsin

TCU and OSU are top 5 teams and will be very difficult to beat. We barely beat NW and Purdue at home this year, do we beat them both on the road? Not sure that we beat both Michigan and Nebraska at home. Iowa will be tough on the road. Hopefully we can beat Wisky at home. I have a hard time seeing 9 wins on the schedule right now.

9/3: TCU - L
9/12: at Colorado St. - W

I'm not sure we know nearly enough about this team to know whether they can win 9 games next year (i.e. Is Max staying? Will Mitch take a real step this offseason? Is Jeff Jones as good as some believe him to be?). However, what most excites me is that this is still a young team and they are going to have the likely number one team in the country at home in week 1. That's exciting and fun.

I feel better about Iowa than Wisconsin.

Looking at the other team's schedules. I'm not so sure 6-2 will even be enough next year. Might need to go 7-1. Wisconsin has another cake walk. If they don't lose at Nebraska, they'll probably go 7-0 leading in to our game. That Ohio State cross over for us is really a killer.

Here's a look at the 2015 schedule: http://www.gophersports.com/sports/m-footbl/spec-rel/future-schedules.html

9/3: TCU: Loss - Will be UGLY unless Kill opens up the offense and plays not to lose
9/12: at Colorado St.: Loss - Don't sleep on this team...I think they challenge Boise State next year for MWC
9/19: Kent St.: Win
9/26: Ohio: Win
10/3: at Northwestern: Win
10/10: at Purdue: Loss - Always lay a stinker vs. an inferior team on the road
10/17: Nebraska: Loss - Make me eat my words and beat Nebraska 3 years in a row
10/24: Bye
10/31: Michigan: Loss - Harbaugh will have the team gelling by now...would rather get them early in the season
11/7: at Ohio St.: Loss
11/14: at Iowa: Loss
11/21: Illinois: Win
11/28: Wisconsin: Loss - Until you beat them one time in a 10+year span don't think we can call it a rivalry

I am going to say 4-8...have seen enough of Mitch to know he is not the answer at QB, Loss of Cobb and Williams will be huge. New Redshirt Freshmen WR might be good, but not sure Limegrover is the guy who will utilize them in right way

You realize Colorado State loses a ton on offense right?

For me the biggest question mark is Michigan. If Morris is at QB next year than I like our chances but who knows. Speight could potentially be decent and the O-line will be better for them. Right now I do feel that is a W though.

afurry? who took over your name lately? Better job, better drugs? what's up with all this positive stuff from you?
I'm just razzing you a little sir. I have enjoyed the difference in posts over the last few weeks. Definitely noticed.
I like your optimism!!

Yes but I watched a lot of their games this year (don't ask me why) and they do have some younger talent that will step in...as long as the new Coach Bobo doesn't screw it up I think they will surprise teams. That is a team on the rise especially with new on-campus stadium coming in the coming years

9/3: TCU L
9/12: at Colorado St. W

9/26: Ohio W

11/28: Wisconsin L

I think we're looking at 7-5. We most likely lose one of two between NU and Iowa as well as UM and Nebraska. The auto losses are TCU, OSU and can't have Wisconsin as a W until we prove it.

This seems like an all or nothing schedule. We've got the tough games at home, and the easier games on the road. Potential for 10 wins, also wouldn't be surprised with 6 or 7.

Lol. I'm a bit of a crazy person when it comes to the in game thread, but I've tried my darndest to keep it in check.

I actually am optimistic about next year. I think next year is our year.

Elite teams have really good QBs, and multiple playmakers (see OSU, MSU). I think that's the key for Gophers to take next step, to be something other than just a nice little story.

That's what I think also. I think best case is another 8-4, but I think 7-5.

The expectation should be 9 wins next year. OSU and TCU were both top 6 teams this year (end of year which is the better metric as opposed to ranking when we played them). No way we should regress from 2014.

Both of those teams should be just as good if not better next year. I don't think an 8-win season would mean we regressed. It may not be a step forward, but wouldn't be a step back either in my opinion.

I'd say 5-8 wins again looks doable. So I'll go with 7.

Agreed, 8 wins and a bowl loss would be the same. Anything less would be a step back anything more would be a step forward. My point is the schedule is very comparable.

Can they? Sure. Will they? Well, considering it's only been done once at Minnesota in the last 50 years or so (2003), I'm not counting on it.

Give me a win next year against either Ohio State or Wisconsin and I'll be happy. Those would actually be signature type wins.

Through Me, all things are possible.

Sure, you say that now, but if we don't win 9, then you'll say "God helps them who help themselves."

I would rather win 7 in the regular season next year and win a bowl game to finish 8-5 than do what we did the last two years. This year we finished with the same record as Rutgers but they went out with a flourish in winning their last two.

You'd rather win the Detoilet Bowl? Today was embarrassing but come on.

Yes. We can win as many as 15 games next year.

So our players will suck, our coaches will suck, and we'll win 4 games. 1-7 in the conference? I suggest you just don't watch or follow the team. It will keep you happier, unless you like to bitch and complain?
