My weekend contribution to GopherHole.
This morning I was moving some boxes that hold my collection of football magazines dating back to 1957, including Gopher Goal Post (game day programs). Two of the programs that I looked at were of games played in Memorial Stadium: Minnesota vs. Wisconsin dated November 23, 1963 (game was moved to Thanksgiving morning because of the assassination of President Kennedy), and Minnesota vs. Purdue, September 19, 1981 (Gophers final season in the Brickhouse).
Since many current GopherHole members were not born when the two games were played, I thought I’d post the stadium concession prices of 1963 and player weights in 1981, for historical perspectives.
