Bye PJ - hello this guy

Kansas coach is also 60 vs Fleck who is 43. Kinda wish Fleck would bring in more established OC/DC's if he gets a chance.
I was pissed at our Oc hire can’t believe we went internal

Kansas was in a way worse shape them Minnesota so I disagree, how about Cignatti (sic) at Indiana. I noticed you stayed silent on that hire.
I think that was a good hire for them. Pretty similar hire to fleck for Minnesota. Better track record of not having any down seasons. But 63. And only a couple of FBS. So even if it works out probably a 4-10 year coach. But I’d be okay with a 4-10 year coach because I’m not sure a 15-25 year coach exists anymore.

Cignatti might be just as quirky as Fleck too from the interviews I’ve seen.
Indiana has a nice schedule this year too. We will see how they do when difficulty turns up.

I also think LL was a great hire for Kansas. He simply doesn’t have a better record than fleck at the D1 level

Schedules matter and Rutgers/Indiana benefit this year. MN’s schedule looks easier on paper next year but we won’t know until next season and what rosters look like.

The only way I'll watch is if we join a new league of real college teams that don't pay the players.

This is against everything I stand for. Not to mention...I'm done being a glutton-for-punishment.

It's interesting these days. If you're willing to pay 18 million or 22 million or whatever the buyout may be. I wonder what the team would look like if you, just used that money instead to buy a bunch of 4 and 5 star players instead?
I’d be down for that! However, we’d still lost most big games due to his inability to make in game adjustments.

At this point, if PJ Fleck left I say we load the boat for fat Bert. We can’t beat him, so pay him to join us, and the dude can coach.

The dude missed a bowl game last year in year 3 and is 51-53 in his last 104 games.
His best season at Illinois he had the division locked up and then blew it with all kinds of nfl talent by losing to an under .500 Michigan state and the same Purdue team we insult Fleck for losing the division to..plus they lost to 4-8 Indiana that year.

I’m not sure he is the answer that will make you happy.
If we were going to hire a former Wisconsin coach we should hire one that has had success in the Trump and Biden administrations, not the one who had success in the bush and Obama administrations.

Next year Ohio state and Oregon make it harder to go 11-1 than this years schedule. But an easier schedule to win 7-10 against. (As you said, without knowing the roster).

I would bet he stays at Illinois until Ferentz retires in the not to distant future and will get the Iowa job.

Numbers are skewed in today’s ncaa, but 22m would be the second highest and 18m would be tied for fourth highest ever.
I agree with you. That biggest buyout was Jimbo and the other ones are also big SEC programs/money printers Notre Dame and FSU.

Minnesota is never paying that money no chance

We already tried that with Kill. (and Monson in basketball)
