I was pissed at our Oc hire can’t believe we went internalKansas coach is also 60 vs Fleck who is 43. Kinda wish Fleck would bring in more established OC/DC's if he gets a chance.

So go read the post I responded to with that? And he will have a worse record than a bunch of coaches. So?
I think that was a good hire for them. Pretty similar hire to fleck for Minnesota. Better track record of not having any down seasons. But 63. And only a couple of FBS. So even if it works out probably a 4-10 year coach. But I’d be okay with a 4-10 year coach because I’m not sure a 15-25 year coach exists anymore.Kansas was in a way worse shape them Minnesota so I disagree, how about Cignatti (sic) at Indiana. I noticed you stayed silent on that hire.
Schedules matter and Rutgers/Indiana benefit this year. MN’s schedule looks easier on paper next year but we won’t know until next season and what rosters look like.I think that was a good hire for them. Pretty similar hire to fleck for Minnesota. Cignatti might be just as quirky as Fleck too from the interviews I’ve seen.
Indiana has a nice schedule this year too. We will see how they do when difficulty turns up.
I also think LL was a great hire for Kansas. He simply doesn’t have a better record than fleck at the D1 level
The only way I'll watch is if we join a new league of real college teams that don't pay the players.Schedules matter and Rutgers/Indiana benefit this year. MN’s schedule looks easier on paper next year but we won’t know until next season and what rosters look like.
I’d be down for that! However, we’d still lost most big games due to his inability to make in game adjustments. It's interesting these days. If you're willing to pay 18 million or 22 million or whatever the buyout may be. I wonder what the team would look like if you, just used that money instead to buy a bunch of 4 and 5 star players instead?
The dude missed a bowl game last year in year 3 and is 51-53 in his last 104 games. At this point, if PJ Fleck left I say we load the boat for fat Bert. We can’t beat him, so pay him to join us, and the dude can coach.
Next year Ohio state and Oregon make it harder to go 11-1 than this years schedule. But an easier schedule to win 7-10 against. (As you said, without knowing the roster).Schedules matter and Rutgers/Indiana benefit this year. MN’s schedule looks easier on paper next year but we won’t know until next season and what rosters look like.
I would bet he stays at Illinois until Ferentz retires in the not to distant future and will get the Iowa job.At this point, if PJ Fleck left I say we load the boat for fat Bert. We can’t beat him, so pay him to join us, and the dude can coach.
I agree with you. That biggest buyout was Jimbo and the other ones are also big SEC programs/money printers Notre Dame and FSU.Numbers are skewed in today’s ncaa, but 22m would be the second highest and 18m would be tied for fourth highest ever.
Quite the commuteWhy don't we take Penn State's OC who happens to live in Litchfield, MN?
We already tried that with Kill. (and Monson in basketball)At this point, if PJ Fleck left I say we load the boat for fat Bert. We can’t beat him, so pay him to join us, and the dude can coach.
He coaches by Zoom ?Quite the commute
