The Gophers get a desirable bowl destination, likely in sunny Florida or San Diego, after a second straight eight-win season. It comes with more disappointment than a year ago after Minnesota lost a two-touchdown lead to Wisconsin with a spot in the conference title game at stake. Still, it's been an excellent season that included just one toe-stubbing, the loss at Illinois.
