Latest kickoff time possible at TCF Bank Stadium?
Is there some lame city / neighborhood ordinance can affect how late a game is started at TCF Bank Stadium. I can't see why there would be. The Rolling Stones are holding a weeknight concert there which would end as late as any 8pm kickoff typically would. Trying to guess when the Gopher-TCU game may kickoff now that we know the BTN is not broadcasting it. Here are the other games listed for September 3, 2015:
Duke at Tulane TBA CBSSN
South Carolina vs. North Carolina (Charlotte) TBA ESPN Network / WatchESPN
Michigan at Utah TBA TBD
Oklahoma State at Central Michigan TBA TBD
TCU at Minnesota TBA TBD
UTSA at Arizona TBA TBD
Colorado at Hawaii 11:59 pm TBD
The South Carolina - North Carolina game being on the east coast should start earlier and would be ideally suited for ESPN's SEC Network but that may not happen since it is technically a neutral site game in Charlotte. Could we see a 5 pm CST kickoff for that game? Maybe place the USC-NC game on ESPN2. That way ESPN, the mothership channel, could pick up the Gopher-TCU with a kickoff in the 6-7 pm range. The kicker is the Michigan-Utah game and who owns the rights to that game. If ESPN has the rights it could piggyback the Michigan-Utah game on the Deuce immediately after USC-NC game since it is played in the mountain time zone. The main ESPN channels would be wall-to-wall college football on the first night of the season with intriguing match-ups and storylines to sell.
Rece Davis, Jesse Palmer, David Pollack and Samantha Ponder- come on down!
