Brosmer: Much love, Gopher Nation. Extremely grateful for this team and the unwavering support in the Bank. THE BOYS ARE BACK IN TOWN #SkiUMah

Haha. I hope so. We're gonna need him.

Brosmer seems to be getting better and better as the season goes on. So nice to have strong play from the QB position again after the debacle that was last year.

It's a testament to what PJ & Co have built that after a downer of an Iowa game we fill the bank:

That's not something you saw much before PJ arrived in the past few decades.
The younger crowd loves him. He's the only Minnesota sports coach my daughter (a student at the U) could name. PJ is helping bring in younger fans.

Minnesota has picked up another transfer QB. Mo Baxmer .... from ... Somewhere University ... is that even a place?

Yeah I always notice the students really get loud when they announce PJ.

His fast talking ways and slogans appeal to the younger crowd....it is the old farts that can't stand him and prefer the slow country drawl of guys like Kill. .... :)

I resemble that comment but no...

Not only is he a fine QB and apparently a very good teammate; he's also quotes the classics, like Thin Lizzy!

Spiral spin rate is the only metric that counts. Well, standing next to Mike Morris might also count.

Yards per completion would be vastly different (probably)

Pretty tough to beat Tanner's 10.2 yards per attempt in 2019. That was 4th in the nation behind Jalen Hurts, Joe Burrow, and Tyler Huntley. Those three all made it to the NFL. He also had 30 TD passes compared to 7 interceptions that season. Tanner himself would never come close to those numbers again.

Max currently is at 7.3 yards per attempt (11th in the Big Ten). He has a fair chance of climbing to an average of 8 yards per pass by the end of the season but that's probably the limit. We have a pretty good short and medium passing game but we don't have many long passing plays.
