The fact that Monson EVER made the tourney with ALL the sanctions, loss of scholarships and the way the haskin's scandal destroyed the spirit in the BARN is really pretty remarkable. Hell, they still aren't selling out the BARN. The spirit of Men's Hoops was pretty much destoryed by the haskin's scandal. I don't know if it is coming back any time soon. Probably not with a basement hugging record any way...

I never said it was relevant to Arizona. All I'm saying is that he was a disaster at Michigan. I don't know how anyone could reasonably argue with that. And, further, if DickRod is somehow worthy of yet another BCS job after Michigan (where, again, he was even worse than Brew), why is it so unfathomable that Brew would get a shot at a low-level I-A job?

I'm not arguing with the fact that he was a disaster in Ann Arbor. What I'm arguing is that I believe what you think (correct me if I'm wrong) is that RichRod is a terrible coach, which is just not the case. His failure at Michigan does not erase his success at WVU. The cultural fit and lack of players to fit his system killed him at Michigan. He is much more deserving of another shot at a BCS-level program than Brewster is at a D1 job because of the fact that he has proven he can be successful at this level, unlike Brewster, who has three and a half of years of very below average to average years on his resume and nothing else.

Not understanding the wrath aimed at Rodriguez. The difference between his situation and Brewster's isn't apples-and-oranges, it's rocks-and-plants. Not even the same genus and species.

Rodriguez is a good coach who ran into the wrong situation at Michigan. My guess is if he could find Mr. Peabody and borrow the Wayback Machine, he'd choose to let the call from Michigan a few years back go to voicemail.

I don't know if Brewster deserves another chance, but if he gets one, good for him.

Well, ozzie & ray: why is Tubby wasting all that money having a full compliment of scholarship players and why the huge recruiting budget to fly in the allowable number of recruits? Why doesn't he try coaching with the numbers of scholarship players that Monson had to coach with during that five year period of NCAA Punishments?????? And why isn't Tubby doing a hell of a lot better than Tubby is doing? Let's be fair and be "fair and balanced' in our bashing here ozzie and ray. Boogie on...
