Between this conversation and Horton's it is like they are building the ground work to prepare people that Weber is going to be our starter.

I will boo every time Weber touches the ball if he starts
Maybe for you. Some recruits want to win and aren't satisfied with a half-assed performance on the field.Hard liquor I can see but what does booing get you, feel better about yourself?
Sorry but I don't see the point of booing the team, it sends the wrong message. If I was a recruit and was at a game when the crowd boo'd constantly, well it would be an easy decision.

If your sitting next to me I will punch you in the face!

I didn't get that at all. He was complimentary of all three QBs. It was exciting to hear him talk about the D-linemen and LBs. Anyone know what KGM is weighing in at? Brewster mentioned he was ready to play but could use some more strength. I want to hear him talk about Hageman more as well.
Also, what's the story with Aaron Hill? I don't know much about him. Is he realistically looking at challenging for PT?
It's great to hear Brewster say Bennett has gotten faster. If he has a better burst he could be a very serviceable back. I think (hope) Devon Wright is going to be our stud back of the future.
I had that impulse last year several times. There were people in the student section booing Weber in the first quarter of close games (some of which the Gophers ultimately won). A friend of mine and I told them all to calm down and back off. Next thing I knew Weber hit Decker for a 50 yard gain and the Purdue route was on. It never pays to turn on your own team.
I don't want Adam Weber to be the starting QB anymore, but I have nothing but respect and admiration for how he has conducted himself on and off the field.
There is nothing that irritates me more than when fans boo specific players. It is occasionally (read, occasionally) appropriate to boo a coaching decision. But fans who boo their own players do nothing but harm the team and discourage recruits.
Yeah, who the hell is Aaron Hill?
He was a redshirt freshman last year and reportedly one of the best players on scout D. He's like 6'2" 210 and a fantastic afro. I bet he plays a lot of special teams this year. Seems like a hard working kid from what I've read, might play his way onto the D, but will have to beat out the other LB's.
Easy to tell which guy you are at the games, you must be the one everyone hates and nobody wants to sit by.
Wasn't Aaron Hill a walk-on?

Booing is entirely self centered, serves no 'greater purpose' and is particularly disrespectful to all the student athletes, student trainers, grad assisstants and parents who pour there heart and soul into the program and are dedicated at a far greater level than you. These people work hard everyday of the year to make the program better and you think that booing is how a program improves. Ignorance is bliss.
Maybe recruits see the sucky player on the field getting booed and know they are better than that sucky player and that they won't get booed because they don't suck.
