Well what do you expect. Nobody has anything. It's all made up. Specualation. And yet you would rather believe what doesn't make sense because it supports your feelings and attitudes. You have me all wrong- I am no Brewster hater. I believe he and the program have been put in an IMPOSSIBLE position by Maturi and it is crippling recruiting and any chance of improving. Brewster cannot recruit without an extension and Maturi is too chicken to fire him. I say extend him 4 years or fire him now. We cannot go into another season with a lame duck coach. Will Maturi take either of the only two possibly correct options? No, he will go with #3, another lame duck season. That is literally the only option that could hurt us for certain. Unless his hand is forced and he can make it look like he had no choice, everyone knows we are going the lame duck route and that Huff is not the last to leave.

These are not rumors ... and I don't have all the information ... Marcus put the story out tonight, so I am merely chiming in with the stuff that I know ... Kent is the Star Tribune beat reporter, so if anyone writes it, it's him ... and I am not working at CH 9 this week.
 

BT, there is no such thing as journalistic standards at the strib anymore. It's gone the way of their readership.

And? There are a ton rumors, but if they can't be sourced properly, they never get out ... Marcus deserves props for initially writing the story this afternoon.

Agreed. It's out there, now. Brewster and the rest of us can take it for what it's worth.
 



I'm going to take on a different perspective here. My main concern is not whether Brewster leaves or not, but rather who Maturi would decide to hire as the next coach. He admitted to taking a flier on Brewster and to be honest, I don't have much faith in him to hire a good coach in Brewster's wake. Having said that, I'd be surprised if Brewster left for a program like Kansas. However, if he is seriously flirting with them and trying to convince them that he warrants an interview, then he's walking down a very slippery slope with the U, especially if he doesn't get the Kansas job.

I agree. I still find it hard to believe he would be that stupid. If it's true, Brewster's days are probably very numbered here. I don't know if Maturi can be trusted to make a good decision on hiring a good coach, either.
 

Shame on you people, don't believe this crap, but no doubt, every member of the sports media in this town would suck Maturi's dick if he promised to bring Mason back.
 

Let's be honest here - Maturi seems like the type of guy that needs to be pushed one way or another to get off the fence. Here's your push, Joel...one way or the other.

Why not? Brewster has been treated like crap by all you media whores since the day he stared. By Chad & Sid Hartman, Fat Pat, Paul Allen Paul Allan, Shaver and the list goes on and on. The truth is, all you media clowns are too chicken *&^!#*&^!#*&^!#*&^!# to make it in the real world, you gotta hide behind a desk and criticize others and the effort they put forward. But hey, maybe your buddy Obummer will bail out your pathetic publications since nobody wants to digest the garbage you put forward.
 

Truth hurts. When venom is spewed on you, I don't think you can argue there are no fangs just becuase you don't see them. Ugliness is found in more than just swear words. or so says confucious.

Oh I am relaxed, but on a lighter side, I can understand why Randy Shaver would be pissed at Brewster. After Mason promise Shaver that his son would get a preferred walk-on and then a scholarship only to have Brewster tell him that his son doesn't even have enough talent to play D3 football must have totally burned Randy's aXX. Would have loved to see that in person. :clap:
