Just to go on the record, I don't particularly like it when we do it either. It was one of the things that irked me a bit (that's a bit) about Mason is that we'd be cleaning up on some cupcake in the non-conference schedule and the first-string would still be in there in the 4th quarter. Depth is important and the only way to develop quality depth is having kids get quality playing time.

I'm in the same place as Bob_Loblaw. As long as the subs are running plays in the first few chapters of the playbook, I don't care if they score one hundred. It's when they start going into the appendix to run the Lonesome Polecat or the Fumblerooski that it begins to border on the ridiculous and tacky.
