There is only one solution to the Rigsby problem. Get yourself a box of Fruit loops and a bottle of Coke. Mix the two together and eat until the sugar comatose kicks in and you don't wake up until the roster is complete. Six to eight cases should do the trick. Young Mr. Rigsby was fun to watch but not fun enough to miss.

A polarizing player if there ever was one. Could argue that he single-handedly won it for us at @Penn State and @ Nebraska.

In other games, he was the worst player on the court, sometimes struggling even to dribble or draw iron on a jump shot.

I don't think his undefined role did him any favors, and I'm sure he was pressing to get back into the rotation in some of those ugly games. It sounded like he dealt with some nagging injury stuff as well.

Regardless, I'm sad to see him go as I'm sure he'd have a much better-defined role in Niko's system, and you can't teach that elite athleticism.
 








Hate to see him go, he'd do wonders in a structured offense and you can't teach his athleticism.

I think in a more perfect world where there was less noise, chaos for chaos's sake, he would develop into a very entertaining player. He automatically gets a free barley pop from me for Penn State if he is 21 or older, but only one round. He is on his own after that. I expect all our players to die on their shields for wins at Nebraska just because they are Nebraska. Players should find self-motivation for Nebraska.
 


I wish him the best. His 1 good game out of ten ratio was irritating to say the least. He was the kid you admired in warm-ups and wondered how he could be that bad in the game. Tons of athleticism, but his inconsistency makes him one I don't pine for.
 




Brennan Rigsby, Jr was a great contributor to the Gopher MBB 2024-2025 season.

Has anyone ever entered the portal and NOT left? Is it possible that a player uses it for a negotiation tactic?

I kind of assume that anyone who enters the portal has secretly already done their planning on where they are headed.

Sure its happened. But the team is no longer required to take you back once you put your name in. So it lets the team off the hook if they'd rather you move on.
