Some projections have the Gophers going to the Insight Bowl based on the assumption that Iowa will get a 2nd BCS spot for the Big Ten, and then there would not be a bowl eligible team from the Big Ten to take a spot in the Pizza Bowl.

So . . . if Minnesota were to beat Iowa this weekend, Iowa would certainly not get to a BCS bowl.

One would hope that a Gopher victory over Iowa would put them ahead of NW or MSU for pecking order, but is it possible that a Gopher win over Iowa lands the Gophers in the Pizza Bowl?

As someone else said in a similar post, I'd still take the win over Iowa. 10 times out of 10. However, a MNC or Rosebowl trip would be a different story.
