Boom

Not sure on the other two but in the case of Wright specifically it seemed like off the field issues were the biggest thing cutting into his playing time and production. Was a real bummer because he showed flashes of the kind of player he could be but it just never seemed to come together for him.
Dylan is a good guy. He actually was doing well for us and then his brother died in an accidental shooting. It hit him hard and I don't think he ever really got back on track even after transferring to TCU

Dylan Wright is a top 75 wideout in gopher history.
He left after two seasons then had injuries at TCU

He didn’t live up to his potential upside but I am not sure he belongs with the other two.
Top 75? What’s that like anyone with 30 career catches?

Hope he becomes a lead receiver for us. The more I watch the high end teams receivers, the more I think quickness and speed are much more valuable than size. Maybe that's a "duh" moment, but if the guy can't get separation vs man to man coverage, size is almost worthless.
Impact in the redzone?

Coleman and Tyler were both raw and left too soon to call them busts, and Wright did make an impact and likely would’ve made a larger one had he committed and stayed here. I’m confident Thompson will make an instant impact.

It’s probably fair to say that none of them lived up to their potential while at MN. Debating whether they had varying degrees of minimal impact is probably futile.

Not sure I agree with that.
He was a Texas kid, didn’t play much in 2019-20 but played in 13 games as a freshman/RS year his first two years,

Came here two years.
35 catches over 600 yards and multiple touchdowns.

Went back to Texas at TCU and essentially had a career ending injury late in the season after having a different injury early in the season

A redshirt sophomore not playing 100% of snaps doesn’t necessarily mean off the field issues to me.

He was banged up at TCU. But yeah he headed back to Texas and was never really heard from much again

I would have liked to see him in this offense. I think he suffered from wrong place wrong time.

The cynic in me worries that this addition won’t work out given their track record of adding previously highly rated WRs with little success at their first school.

Hopefully, I’ll be proven wrong this time.
Surely this time it will work out.
