First of all, we were watching the Buckeyes and you happened to be their opponent, and we were happy with the result.

Second of all, the only time I support Gopher athletics is when me and my Badger friends invade and take over that new stadium of yours in the fall. Might be supporting it more now that there are beer sales :clap:

First of all, "lieing" is not a word. You learn that when you get to your sophomore year of high school.

Second of all, you are a liar since you again are posting on a Gopher message board and don't appear to be invading a new stadium today. So again, thanks for supporting Gopher athletics today.

Some coaches give short answers to stupid sideline reporter questions, some throw their kids under the bus after every loss. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

I am so glad you all hate Bo Ryan. It means he is a winner. Nothing pisses off a fan base more then being owned by another team.

I love Tubby. I hope he stays another 10 years. Long live Tubby and his under .500 records in the Big 10 and his NIT tournament success.

Throwing kids under the bus, like Bo Ryan did to Ryan Evans after losing at the Barn this year? You'll definitely find nothing but hate here for coaches that beat us a lot, like Tom Izzo, who has a much better record against us than Bo does. You'd think if Bo's teams were so vastly superior to Tubby's he might have a better record than 6-4 against him, especially considering we were down at least one player in at least 4 of those games. Personally I don't like how Bo screams and swears at officials and throws fits of rage on the court. If Bo's teams sucked, I still wouldn't like him because he would still throw tantrums on the court, having losing teams doesn't make me find such behavior less off-putting.

I respect Tom Izzo, he wins a lot, he beats the Gophers a lot, he does great in the tournament, and he represents the Big Ten well. I don't hate him, I'd love to have him.

In honesty though, as much as I hate it, you'll find plenty of posters here hate Tubby and adore Bo Ryan, and still refuse to question his infallibility as a coach even after 7-8+ minute stretches where the team doesn't score. Too many Gopher fans seem to find being madly and unabashedly jealous of Wisconsin the only way to be "realistic" as a fan.
 

I have a little personal experience with Bo. I was living in Platteville, WI when he was the coach at UW-Platteville. (for what it's worth, his teams there were fun to watch - press and run - the exact opposite of how he plays now). Anyway, the city council there was debating whether to allow a multi-family housing complex near the campus. Bo lived in that part of town, and he was against the development. I was at the council meeting, and to make a long story short, he and I got into a fairly heated argument, on the verge of yelling at each other. Bo was like the King of Platteville at the time, and I think he expected to get his way. And, if my memory serves, the council did vote against allowing the development.

You've left out the most important detail: did he hurt your feelings? Was his behavior uncouth?


I expect he did, and it was. Bo Ryan is the biggest meanie around.

Not always true. I can't stand guys like Lane Kiffin and Rick Barnes.
