All 8 of these teams generally speaking are considered to be on the bubble. Am adding a few additional pieces of information (RPI, overall D-I record & conference place) to help you out.

You're on the Selection Committee and there are only 4 at-large spots available. Which 4 of these 8 do you select? Deadline is 1 p.m. Reminder: we're on the honor system here, so no checking web sites to figure out who these teams are.

C, D, F, G.

Would these be teams generally considered to be the last 4 in/first 4 out? Or are these all teams that are on the outside looking to play themselves in (first 4 out/next 4 out)? Because frankly, if these are the teams the gophers are up against on the bubble I'm much more optimistic about our chances if we only finish 9-9.
 


IMHO are not options, plus you can only pick 4 not 8. :)
 




Answer to Caravan's question

You hit it right on the head. These teams are a combination of the "last 4 in" and "first 4 out" among some of the bracket geeks. I agree with you. ... the Gophers (not included here) at this point stack up just fine with this grouping of 8.
 









Tough choices

I am going with G, H,c and F.
 

D,E,F,H

It's tougher with the RPI and Conference record. I will say that if conference record weren't included my choices might have been the other four.. but there's no way I take an eighth or worse. I don't care how good they seem otherwise.
 

My Picks

I think G has the best resume. 4-5 against Top 50 is almost .500 which is the most impressive stat for any team listed.

Others I would go with would be A, D & C.

I put most weight wins versus top 50 and top 100 and little on SOS. SOS seems like such a subjective tool to me. Who cares how good the teams you play are if you lose to a majority of them?
